Gloucestershire Old Spot pork recipes
Because of its full flavour and good layer of fat our pork lends itself so well to the traditional roast. The fat bastes the meat keeping it moist during cooking and, of course, gives the added bonus of crispy crackling! We recommend loin, leg and, my own preference, rolled shoulder .Everyone has their own favourite version of the Sunday (or midweek ) roast and it makes sense to buy a larger joint so that there is some left over for salad or sandwiches later in the week as pork tastes just as good as a cold cut.
Pork is a very versatile meat and features in delicious recipes from all over the world . We will be passing on to you some of our own favourites and those of our customers.
